Hi there!

My name is Steve. I am an avid technologist who enjoys helping others navigate the digital divide.

I have always been fascinated by technology and enjoyed tinkering with gadgets, computers, and software. After I retired as a mechanical engineer for a telecommunications company, I realized that I could use my skills to assist others, especially older adults who often struggle with modern technology. That led me to volunteer with Volunteer Solutions, a part of Fairfax County’s Area Agency on Aging.

While I find the ever-evolving world of technology fascinating, I recognize that navigating it can sometimes be overwhelming, especially for older adults. That’s why I dedicate my time volunteering at two Fairfax County senior centers and a Fairfax County library, assisting older patrons with their technological needs.

Whether it’s troubleshooting a smartphone, navigating social media, or mastering online resources, I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to participate in the digital world. I find immense satisfaction in helping individuals overcome their technological hurdles and discover the vast possibilities technology offers.
